Course Description
Equipping people for the Christian ministry aspect of chaplaincy: how to help others as Jesus would. Students will be motivated and challenged to pray and read the Bible more while also increasing their faith in God. Providing knowledge on how to relate to other cultures, and what to do in a crisis situation.
Provide training in the chaplaincy and spiritual care ministry, while developing an awareness of the various contexts in which chaplains and spiritual caregivers minister.
Course Objectives
- To provide parameters and guidelines for chaplains and candidates serving as representative of the RFMI ministry.
- Provide training on how to help anyone in need, emotional and Spiritual in the role of a Chaplin
- Exposition of a general Chaplaincy
- Various types of Chaplaincy
- The character of a Christian Chaplain
- First Aid and CPR Tips
- Code of Ethics

Course Methods
- Handouts, lectures, class participation, class presentations, and practicum will be required.
- Upon completion of this course, students will be certified in Lay Pastoral Care (LPC)
- Students will be asked to evaluate the lecture at the end of semester.

- Week Two: The Power of Prayer in the life of a Christian Chaplain and The power of the Bible in the life of a Christian Chaplain
- Week Three: The power of faith in the life of a Christian Chaplain and The Authority of a Christian Chaplain over Spiritual wickedness
- Week Four: The Christian Chaplain and the Ministry of Counseling and Counseling tips for Christian Chaplain
- Week Five: The Christian Chaplain as marriage therapist and The Christian Chaplain as consoler of the grieving
- Week Six: The Christian Chaplain serving in a cross-cultural Ministry
- Week Seven: The Christian Chaplain Serving during a crisis
- Week Eight: How to help the victims of abuse and abusive relationship
- Week Nine: First Aid CPR Tips for a Christian Chaplain
