Course Description
These Courses are for Qualified Students from the Introduction to Christian Chaplain Course and other Qualified Students from other faculties who are seeking a greater understanding in the Role of Chaplain/Spiritual Care Role, Social Service and Psychotherapy field.
Once successfully completed the member shall be CERTIFIED CHAPLAIN in their respective field as well as a CERTIFIED CRITICAL INCIDENT STRESS DEBRIEFER.
Course Objectives
- Students will gain valuable insight in advance Pastoral Care.
- Learning how to Identify blind spots while engaging clients.
- Learning about transference, counter-transference and projection in spiritual care.
- Having sound understanding of Spiritual care Intervention outside the walls of the church.
- Gain clarity in the Psychology of Religion.
- Understanding psychodynamic Sensibility.
- The Discipline of Pastoral Understanding/ Pastoral Assessment.

Course Methods
- Handouts, lectures, case study presentations and discussion
- Lab work, group dynamics
- One to one counselling
- Both mid and end term evaluation for each student
- Upon completion of this course, students will be certified in Clinical Trained Minister
- Students will be asked to evaluate the lecture at the end of semester.
